I shall embark on a lengthy road trip tomorrow, and I plan to do the following before I reach my destination:
-Dig for Fossil Fish
-See the Bone Cabin (again)
-Go to Carhenge (this is the tri in the trifecta of seeing "henge" sites).
-Explore the Southern Continent Dinosaurs at the Science Museum of Minnesota
-Shop at the Mall of America! (Peeps Store!!!)
-Take a trip down memory lane to my Montana birthplace
-See the Museum of the Rockies, and inquire if Jack Horner is working close by (I'm pretty sure he doesn't do dig sites anymore since he is working on genetically re-engineering the dinosaur "dino chicken").
-Head through my Father's hometown on my way back home
This is what I had planned to do two years ago, but got the call to go to China, so I had to fly to Convergence instead, so I am hoping for a safe and happy journey along the way.
Hope you have fun wherever life takes you on your travels!

Hi all, Tis me again. I feel soiled for asking, but...
Please like me on Facebook.
I did this as a business move.
I am not partial to FB, as has been noted in the past, but for now I have to start thinking about the future of my business, especially when I can do so. Thank you for your time.

I've done it now.
I finally put myself, or rather my business on Facebook. If you don't know who or what my business is, it's called Springtime Creations. That is all. I cannot 'friend' or 'like' people/monkeys/etc as a business account. Sorry. It doesn't mean I don't love or like you. Facebook won't let me. That seems a bit messed up, but alas, it is what it is.
Unless you know something more than I do, and that is entirely possible.
If you are on the book of Face, go and "like" me. I certainly appreciate it. I wish I could do something reciprocal for you, but FB just got in my way. (Fat Asses)

What is going on with livejournal anyway? They are truncating and not allowing links. May be that it isn't safari friendly, but anyway it is seriously wrecking havoc with my calm.

Hello Dear Friends. Yes, I am actually writing (when I should be doing a million other things). It occurs to me since I only use Twitter pretty much these days that I am missing most of the social conversations on line. My husband helps me fill in the gaps with part of that.
Yesterday I received a note (via my principal) from the headmaster of the school we're going to on Saturday. He requested that each of the three teachers bring 50 souvenirs from the USA that cost a total of...wait for it...$5. This would be reimbursed to us (????)
Not like I can go to Mordor, um, WalMart for this, as most crap, uh, goods from there are made in...wait for it...China, where we are headed. It would have been excellent had we gotten this request months out, where we could have made things, or found things, or even get into our classroom to get more things...but NO!
So far, my response has been (in the back of my mind) ARE YOU NUCKING FUTZ?
I was already going to bring some state quarters for the students on my own. Figured that it was from the US, and money is always, or mildly fascinating to kids. Now along with my "giveaways" of some books that I had leftover from the old curriculum, I'd bring some shiny pennies, and made in Petaluma-Mrs. Grossman's stickers along with me.
If you have any suggestions as to where I can get such "souvenirs" made in the USA for that amount of money, please respond in comments. Post cards would have been great, but they are too expensive now, unless you know of a place where I can get them by Friday for 10 cents a piece. Was also thinking of getting a picture of the Golden Gate, scanning it in, and making some cute cards for each of them. Of course, can't take plants, seeds, etc...you know, immigration would frown heavily on that.
I know I can rely on your clever minds for (serious) suggestions!
Thanks!!!!
Addendum: Any corporate freebies would also be a big help (lanyards, temporary tattoos, pins, giveaways)

These days I have rarely any time at all to even do the 144 characters twitter allows for a brief comment or two here and there. How did life get so frikkin' busy?
Oh, don't even answer that.
Yet I sit letting you know that I am here, despite getting ready for another trip for computer rendering training. Despite being report card time. Despite spending a gorgeous weekend indoors prepping sub plans and report cards. Busy? Yup.
This year has been going at breakneck speed, mostly excellent, some not so excellent with more than my share of death of loved ones. For the most part it has been a very positive year. My first convention of the year was a record breaker, and I am planning to have some really great designs out soon. I also have a secret project in the wings that will hopefully have a huge unveiling in a few months.
But the most excellent news is...
I AM GOING TO CHINA this summer for three weeks. To teach! Which leaves me three weeks less time for production in my business. So my schedule has even gotten tighter. But this is an opportunity of a lifetime! I will have more information as I go along, and hopefully I will be able to provide more to you when the actual event occurs.
Now you know why I haven't been keeping up with my journal!
Cheers, y'all!
